Universal Media Disc

"UMD" stands for "Universal Media Disc".It is the optical disc medium Developed by sony for the PSP.At present there are no third party UMD burners available.Currently there are two types of UMD's:

  • Single-layer UMD with a storage capacity of 900 MB.
  • Double-layer UMD with a storage capacity of 1.9 GB.
