the word "here" links to http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=81424 it would be better if it linked to a direct picture of the IC Pinout and/or actual board.

Incorrect definition of JigKick battery

Some people mistake Pandora's Battery for the JigKick Battery, but Pandora's Battery is both the Magic Memory Stick and the JigKick Battery. The Memory Stick and battery can then be used to downgrade any PSP of any version or to recover from a brick.

The article states that the JigKick Battery is a battery with the serial 0xFFFFFFFF. However isn't it officially the piece of hardware used by Sony to repair a bricked PSP. - Student 101

Yes, this serial on a battery will put most PSP's into service mode. This was discovered by team C+D and used to downgrade PSP's. Most probably Sony use it as well but they simply repair the PSP's. --Big_Boss (talk+cont) 17:45, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
