Talk:Installing Custom Firmware

SparkyPSP: Is there someone who wants to make one or more of them? Post it here before someone else writes the guide.

The meaning is to explain how the installer from those CFW's work, as you can see I ordered them on the different install methods...

Firmware 3.71 M33, revision and 1.5 Kernel addon

I'll take care of that instead of the internet update since 3.80 M33

SparkyPSP: Do you think we should make 3.71 M33 to 3.73 HX.. 3.80 to 3.90(future) seperate? I didn't thought about the update feature...

Damik: Why not doing it, I just added the 3.72 HX (edit: 3.71 HX's never existed my mistake) to 3.73 HX we'll just have to details the installation and details if there is necessary downgrade for it, pspwiki should not be used to favorized a CFW over another anyway

For what's about 3.80 M33 wifi upgrade i'll have a word on it on 3.71 to 3.90 M33

SparkyPSP: I thought to put 3.72 HX to 3.73 HX between 3.71 M33 to 3.90 M33, because they have the same installer...

Damik: I am not sure about moving the HX between the M33, because it might f*** up the noobz didn't. However, the way I suggest to proceed is to write how to move to the firmware for each category of firmware. It would be hard for the first one but just copy paste for the rest, excluding little specification. For example:

Example for 3.71 to 3.90 M33 installation

1.50 Firmware: proceed like this...

Official firmware: proceed like this...

CFW others than M33: proceed like this...

M33 Firmware: proceed like that...

SparkyPSP: I think I understand what you mean, and I agree with that...

SparkyPSP: Wow, wait a minute... someone is adding new headers, I lost the overview... What's the meaning of adding those headers?

SE/OE/HX Firmwares

Demonchild: - Sorry is I messed up the page a bit. I was adding SE/OE and HX firmware installs as well as some M33 ones..

SparkyPSP: Damn! what are you doing?!?! 2.71 SE is perfect, but the rest is messed up...
