Custom Firmwares : Custom Firmwares are modified versions of Official Firmwares released by Sony for the Sony PSP(PlayStation Portable).

Official Firmware : PlayStation Portable System Software is the official, updateable firmware for the PlayStation Portable.

SE Firmware: See Custom Firmwares.

LE Firmware: See Custom Firmwares.

Open Edition Firmware : Open Edition firmwares (OE) refers to the set of custom firmwares created by Dark_Alex. To date, there has been 5 releases, with 3.40 OE-A being the last firmware release.

M33 Firmware : M33 firmwares are custom firmwares developed by Dark AleX. They are based on Sony's firmwares starting from 3.51 and above.
