A EBOOT.pbp file is a uncompressed archive file normally used for games/updates located on the Memory stick. The .pbp file extension is a file type created by Sony for the Playstation Portable. EBOOT.pbp files are normally located on your Memory stick in the PSP/GAME or PSP/APP folder, though they can also be in PSP/GAME150 and PSP/GAME3XX folder on custom firmwares. These files include, but are not limited to, Homebrew applications and emulators (such as DGEN SEGA Megadrive emulator), Playstation 1 (psx) games and PSP demos (Playable via either playstation network downloads or popstation on cfw) and also downgrading applications like Pandora Battery creator.

PARAM.SFO - Contains title, region codes, etc...
ICON0.PNG - A PNG that's displayed as the game / game save icon. (144x80 24-bit PNG)
ICON1.PMF - A video icon file.
PIC0.PNG - A larger icon sits in the lower right corner of the screen. (310x180 8-bit PNG)
PIC1.PNG - Background image. (480x272 24-bit PNG)
SND0.AT3 - An ATRAC3 encoded wav file. Plays while you have the icon selected.
DATA.PSP - The Executable file.
DATA.PSAR - An archive containing a filesystem.

List of other common names for PBP Files

150.pbp - A name for the 1.50 Firmware Update for the 1.50 Subset Installation or for Pandora/Despertar del Cementerio.
XXX.pbp - A name for the X.XX Firmware Update used more than likely for the install of a Custom Firmware or Pandora. Normally located in the root of the Memory Stick.
